Mosquitoes trapped in the vicinity of South Elm Street tested positive for West Nile Virus.

The letter below was emailed to most parents in town via the schools their children attend. I wanted to push this out as others already have Wallingford wide as much as possible for maximum exposure.

Dear Stevens Parents,

We have received information from the Town of Wallingford Health Department that some mosquitoes trapped in the vicinity of South Elm Street, tested positive for West Nile Virus.

I encourage you and your children to follow the guidelines provided within the attached letter to limit the possibility of exposure to West Nile.

We will continue to work with the Health Department to monitor the situation and we will keep you informed regarding the issue.

Thank you,

Nicholas Brophy, Principal – Stevens School
